Professional Web Design Resource Index

Friday, October 19th, 2007

The original concept behind this project was to provide a resource index of sorts where those in our industry could promote and publish materials, content, code, and even open source templates to further their careers.

Since very few of these sites exist today we had spent the time in origination and research to bring together a great selection of features that would benefit the visitors as a priority and the design professional as well.

This site is now for sale and the final design may be applied in a few short days to foster its potential purchase.  It is my fond hopes that this site be used for a competent design professional or as I had intended as a resource.  The name A Site Above was originally coined for familiarity and of course ease of remembrance.   With mega successful sites like AListApart.com this site, ASiteAbove.com would seek to achieve for the template design industry what AListApart.com did for the web development in general.  With strong emphasis on the use of Adobe products we had hoped to publish articles and tutorials specific to that genera of designer.

Beautiful Website Templates & Design

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

I’m shocked at how busy I had gotten in order to abandon this site the way I did. This website is really a CSS Gallery site on steroids. After the initial concept behind the site nearly 4 years ago we had put it on hold to develop all the HUNDREDS of client CSS sites that have transpired since. But now we have a new motive.

The goal behind this site is to provide full blown web designers resource site with CSS Galleries not too different than all the dozens of others but with a twist. The twist is all about Search Engine Optimization to help those people in our industry and those that share our genera of professional objectives with a means to get traffic to their site in a more legitimate or should I say more tactically deliberate method. How? Well part of that is a little secret until I wrap up the design this week and open this site for 100% FREE submissions.

As we are based in the US, our intent is to provide GLOBAL assistance to all of the CSS contributors by keeping language translators available for all our postings. The nice thing is that we have secured the services for design with one of the industries most interesting designers, Jared Ritchey.

Jared is a school teacher that dabbles in freelance predominantly for the Real Estate industry but we have managed to solicit his services to build this site as a free for all css gallery that will provide unique features only a WordPress CMS solution could achieve given our budget.

We look forward to your visits as we launch this most overdue of sites.
